Whoho, what did just happen? Oh yea, Northern Alliance downded Vistrix at our 15th attempt! Thats right, your grounded Vistrix. We admit that this fight certainly was the introduction encounter, and most guilds will survive if Funcom decide to buff him, like rumours have it. Good encounter, thanks for the fun and luckily we actually got to loot it.
We got our first epic drop from thrash, but due to the awesome looting system it bugged and are now in the backpack of the wrong person, waiting for the gm(s) to take care of it.

We continued to Yakhmar..
Can also be mentioned that we Killed Yakhmar. Considering we used a game mechanic usually not possible in raid encounters we are not ready to announce it as a valid kill yet, we don't claim something we aren't entitled to claim. However, it might still be if we look at all the other guilds who announced their yakhmar kill.

Northern Alliance (NA) is an Age of Conan (AoC) MMORPG guild. We started out in Blizzard's World of Warcraft (WoW) where we had great success for several years in the PvE game. NA was seen as a hardcore PvE-raiding guild in WoW and this is something we will strive to replicate in AoC. Also note that it's a pronounced goal of NA to be competitive in PvP, or the Border Kingdoms as the PvP-siege game is called in AoC. NA will offer both end-game PvE and PvP on the highest level for it's members in AoC.
Let us be honest with each other. We mean business! We're not in Hyboria to loiter in guild chat or talk about the latest Chuck Norris movie, although that has happened on occasion during off-hours. We're used to countless nights of wiping, re-assembling and buffing up just to wipe again, several nights a week. We're used to organize grinding groups for those epic pots which will make us get a small advantage on the latest elite dungeon. With that said; we're also used to handing out epic equipment to our hardworking members. With hard work comes great rewards!
This is what NA can offer you: Hard work in exchange for great rewards. We're looking for hard working dedicated - semi-hardcore and - hardcore players. Players that can raid several times a week and spend time online every day.
Our goal is currently "about" 10 players of each class in guild total. This number can be adjusted to ensure maximum competitiveness in the Border Kingdoms. All newly accepted players will undergo a trial period before being accepted as a full member. Although we want the best players we also acknowledge that AoC is a social game which means we'll have no room for anti-social behaviour. We play for fun, it just happens that we rate achieving things as fun.
At the moment we're accepting all classes, although Rangers and Tempest of Set applicants has to impress beyond normal standards to be accepted. Herald of Xotli, Necromancers and Dark Templars are especially encouraged to apply. Note that these are dynamic needs based on NA's supply and demand. It might very well change for a number of reasons in the future.
Urgent: After end-game raiding we have come to the conclusion that we're lacking a few tanks. Northern Alliance is therefore in the urgent need of more level 80 Guardians.
PS! If your application, activity level and personality seems to particularly fit the "NA-standard" and/or our values, you will have a good chance for recruitment no matter what class you belong to. Applicants might compensate a somewhat lower activity level with other "qualities" - like skill, dedication and maturity. There could still be room for semi-active players in NA if the sum of a semi-active player exceeds these values. In the end being active isn't about loitering in guild-chat, but partake in guild-raids. NA is also completely aware that a guild isn't any better than it's members.

Northern Alliance reached another milestone in Age of Conan. Yesterday we raised a total of three buildings as a start to our epic quest of our own city. We got our own keep, temple and trade post; among many more to come in the following weeks. Our glorious city is being erect in the Purple Lotus Swamp. The wildlife is great and there's hardly any bugs around!
As the pictures show Northern Alliance today consist of a great mix of old-school WoW players, and the finest handpicked selection of valuable new members. Northern Alliance is now well on it's way to end-game content. We got several 50+ players and we've already cleaned out many dungeons in Hyboria. Northern Alliance is on schedule to it's former glory!

Northern Alliance is now opening up for public recruitment for our Age of Conan crew! Now that the release of the game is closing in we are looking to expand our member base to a competitive number. We are a guild that will be aiming high, with the requirements of a social, yet active guild. Northern Alliance will be structured to reward the active ones, but still offer an enjoyable environment for people that chose not to “go hardcore”. However, we will be a serious guild, so if you apply to us you need to consider yourself a serious Age of Conan player.
This guild has a long history, we are at the moment a bunch of people that have been playing together for more than 2years, soon closing on to 3 in Blizzard’s well-known World of Wacraft. Obviously that game lost its charm and we are no longer playing it together as a guild. That is why the guild is starting up again in Hyboria, with the idea to offer the old member a place to reunite with old friends, as well as a place where we can meet new people that we will be playing together with for a long time.
Northern Alliance will have a rank structure where active, medi-core and lesser active members as well as old members fit together and can enjoy their membership. We will not divide the guild into a pvp group and pve group since we feel that will just split up the guild. We will instead give people the chance to choose how much time they want to spend on each aspect of the game, and then reward them thereafter.
The rank system is Viking inspired and consists of several ranks, where the main body will be tryouts, regular members, active members and officers. A full list can be found here.
Our goal is to build a large community where both active and inactive PvP-minded and PvE-minded people can come together and enjoy the full extent of the game. We aim on being a noticed part of the Boarder Kingdoms, with a fairly big guild that can hold a keep while at the same time being aggressive toward other keeps. The pve aspect of the game will be an important factor for many of our members and pve raids will be a regular event. If you ask me if we are a pve guild or a pvp guild; the answer would be both, but raiding instances has always been a passion for northern alliance. It all depends how Funcom develop the game for us.
Also, to put it like this: we are not role-players, but there have been role-plays!
